The Northeastern California SBDC – Greater Sacramento / Sierra program is the leader in providing all small business owners and entrepreneurs with the tools and guidance needed to become successful in today's challenging economic climate.

Direct and personalized business mentoring is provided to entrepreneurs through one-on-one professional consulting, training and technical assistance in all aspects of small business management. 

SBDC services include, but are not limited to, assisting small businesses with cash flow, break-even analysis, cost control, tax planning, loan packaging, public relations, business plans, bookkeeping procedures, accounting, marketing, feasibilities studies, social media marketing, website development, e-commerce, international trade and procurement.

In 2012 Greater Sacramento / Sierra SBDC achieved the following results:

  • Advised 663 clients
  • Provided 3,347 hours of consulting
  • Held 245 business training sessions
  • Instructed 1969 training class attendees

Assistance is provided at no cost to anyone interested in expanding or improving an existing business or starting a business for the first time. All counseling is strictly confidential.  Please note: consulting is by appointment only, we are unable to accommodate walk-in's.

Our services cover El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra and South Yolo counties.  If you are a pre-venture or start-up business, you are required to first attend the Business Basics Workshop (Click here to register now) BEFORE scheduling an appointment to see a consultant.  See workshop schedule for dates.
